Moraine State Park: Swimming and Regatta

After our hike we headed to Moraine State Park. The two parks are only five minutes apart and it was the only really nice day during our weekend so we wanted to spend it outside. It's been a looong time since we have gone to the lake and not had to chase the kids around!

We didn't swim for very long. It was kind of cold... but it felt really good to jump in after the long, hot hike. Once we cooled off we just sat in the grass and relaxed and read.

Mike likes his shade.

A picture of me in the shades taking a picture of Mike.

When we were finished with just relaxing we headed to the other shore at Moraine where the Regatta was going on. We ate some good fried food for dinner, enjoyed watching people and the boats on the lake and checked out what all the vendors were selling.

After that we headed back to McConnells Mill State Park to Cleland Rock Overlook. We were hoping to catch the sunset and we would have... but the clouds rolled in just about the same time and there was nothing to see as far as the sun goes. But the view is always nice and we had fun just being the two of us out in the middle of nowhere with no one else around.

It was another GREAT day! Getting time that I can spend with just Mike is such a nice gift!
