A runner no more. :(

I am sad to have to admit that I will no longer be doing c25k. I have to quit. I spent a lot of time over the weekend thinking about this because as strange as it is I've been kind of enjoying having running as a workout and a goal to work towards. I really wanted to finish this and run in a race this summer.

The problem?

Shin splints. :(

I always got them in high school. They were horrible. I would get to the point where it was too painful to walk. I know all the things to do to "take care of them" but in reality they only lessen the pain a little and never really fix the problem. Rest is the only thing that makes them better.

I had been hoping that I just wouldn't get shin splints... or that it would take a really long time for them to start bothering me. However, I was only one month in and while they aren't extremely painful I can feel them beginning to ache. And it's not just when I am running but also when I am just sitting around.

I'm not good at quitting... especially when I have convinced others to join me so this was not an easy decision at all. What it came down to was that I would rather be able to hike with my family and wear my high heels than be able to say that I ran a 5k but was unable to enjoy my summer. I decided to run just for something to do and I am deciding to quit because the cost isn't worth it.

Instead I will use the eliptical until I can find a good swimsuit, goggles and swim cap and then I will train to swim a mile. It's a good workout and good a goal. And I just might have some people to join me in that... well at least the swimming part. We'll see how far I can get them to go with me. :)

I really REALLY hope that everyone else who started c25k with me continues to keep going! PLEASE do not quit just because I had to. You better keep going and if you do need to quit it better have nothing to do with me!! :) I was so proud of my friend Kim this morning... she's my running partner and she ran without me! Awesome!!

But yeah... like I said... I'm a bit bummed. I'll get over it eventually though. And I hate my shins!

I heart faces... Dramatic Black and White

One of my favorite pictures of my hunky husband. :)

(To see more pictures from this shoot go HERE.)

To see more entries click the I heart faces button.

What I like. What I don't.

Have you seen that little box on my sidebar where you can ask me anything you want to? You should give it a try. :) Melissa did. She asked...

What are you favorite/least favorite things about blogger/blogging?

Do you REALLY want to know??? haha. I'll start with the things I don't like so I can end on a good note. :)

I really have no complaints with blogger. I like blogger. I've never tried a different blogging site so I have nothing to compare it to but I also have no reason to try a different site. So I'll be here for a while. But there are some things that bug me... like Friday Follow. I don't know why it bugs me so much. I've never tried it but it just seems to be a numbers game. Do it if you want but I kind of sort of don't even read a post that has the Friday Follow button in it. Sorry. Maybe you can change my mind about it... does it work? You get a gazillion new followers but do they actually "follow" you or just like to have you as a number to make them look like a super blogger that tons of people love?

Giveaways. Ok. I like SOME giveaways... but when you can start getting a gazillion extra entries for tweeting, facebooking or blogging about the giveaway... I usually skip those ones. I don't even have twitter and I won't use my facebook or blog for that. I advertise the blogs I like. You want me to advertise for you then be a blog to love. :)

People that get all "I'll follow you if you follow me." I only follow the blogs that I enjoy reading. I don't have time for all of them. I don't have time to read 527 blogs a day. I don't follow someone just because they followed me. Now if they are a frequent commenter I try to visit their blog from time to time to say hello. But please don't hate me if I don't follow you back. :)

People starting up two or three different blogs. This happened around January 1st this year. I think at least five people I follow started second blogs haha. If you do this you MUST keep up both of them. What tends to happen is that one (or both) of the blogs tend to start feeling neglected and I lose interest... in both. Please don't get offended if you have two blogs haha. I was just asked what I like least... I hate losing interest in blogs because of this.

Ok... enough of the complaining already!

What do I love about blogging??

I love the friends I have made.

I love that my family can keep up with my life since they all live all over the place.

I love the support I find in the hard times.

I love when I write about something crazy that happened or that I am feeling crazy because of the kids and I find out through all my commenters that I am not alone in these feelings. I am human.

I love when someone tells me about how one of my posts encouraged, inspired, helped them in some way.

I love when I write about a book that has changed me and someone goes out and buys it and reads it too.

I love having a place to write down my thoughts. It's my space and I get to be fully me.

I love knowing that my life is being written down. Not that anything will ever happen with it but at least I know... I know it happened.

And I love being able to go back through my posts and see how my kids have grown, how my family has loved, how God has changed me, and how I have lived.

Thanks to all of you who have made blogging fun for me!!! And thanks for the question Melissa! Who's next??? Just go to that little box and type in your question. If you want me to know who asked you have to put your name in the box as well. Otherwise it will be anonymous. (I have another question waiting for an answer and will try to get to that one tomorrow. It's taking some thinking!)

My favorite things...

1. My new flip flops.

I bought these babies this weekend at Halmark. It was love at first sight. Even better... they are pretty comfortable and feel good on my feet. I can't wait for it to be flip flop weather!!! (Check out www.grandcosandals.com.)

2. My new lens.

I am looooving this lens. It's better than I thought it would be and came at a perfect time as I am learning much more about photography and enjoying it so much and the weather is getting nicer so it is easier to get outside and do photo shoots. I love it. I don't even think about my other two lenses anymore. It's perfect for me and what I like to do.

3. Oranges.
I am afraid I've become addicted to oranges. They are just so yummy and I eat two or three almost every day. Sooo good. Mmmm... now that I am thinking about oranges I might just have to go have one... which would make three for today. Seriously... it's a problem. Thankfully I've been finding four pound bags for $2 or less!

4. Lisa Bevere.
Ok. So she isn't a THING but she can still be on my favorite things list. :) Lisa Bevere is an awesome godly woman. I've read a few of her books, have two more to read on my shelf and will be ordering the one I don't have very soon. I will also be doing her Fight Like a Girl Study with some friends this summer. Really looking forward to that. Need to order it as well. Seriously though... every girl should read something by Lisa Bevere. Or at least listen to a message. Go to www.messengerinternational.org and go to tools and downloads and click free downloads. The two at the bottom of the page... Uncovering the Lie and Extreme Makeover are messages by Lisa. I have not yet listened to them because I just discovered they were on there the other day and have not yet had time to sit and listen... but I will do it soon and I am sure if you listen that you will love her!!

5. My new Chris Tomlin cd.

Good music with good messages. I've been listening to this cd pretty much non-stop since I bought it two weeks ago. Check out this website to listen to his music.

6. The Message/NIV parallel Bible.
I've been reading through the Bible in a Year. I decided to go with The Message paraphrase Bible this year and have been enjoying it. My favorite translation is the NIV and I thought it would be really nice to have these two translations together in one Bible so I set out to find one. I happened to stop in the Christian book store when they had a lot of their Bibles on sale for 50% off. Hooray for a great deal and I've been loving reading the two translations together.

What are your current favorite things??

Superheroes in Sunglasses

On Tuesday after Bible study my friend Diana gave me two pair of sunglasses. She found them in her house and thought the kids would enjoy them. She was right!

Look how much they love each other! :) They each just want to be like the other one... always watching.

Of course it was shortly after this that Jason broke his little sunglasses. No problem... I just dug around and found a pair we had laying around here.

And that's when they became superheros!

And then Liza got tired.

My kids are always good for a good time. I enjoy them so much!!(Thanks for the sunglasses Diana! It provided me with an afternoon of entertainment!)

Be more.

I'm tired of the world telling women that they need to DO more to be beautiful. More make up. More moisturizer. A new hair color or hair cut. The perfect wardrobe. Lose ten pounds. Botox. Boob jobs.

It's all surface stuff.

I once worked for a company and one day at a training they were going through the manual and the lady (that was pretty much reading from the book) said "Every woman looks better with a little bit of makeup." Excuse me!?? Gee thanks.... thanks for telling me that I don't look as good as I can because I choose to NOT wear make up. None. Never. (That's the day I decided to make my money back and then quit the company.)

That's right. I don't own one bit of makeup. I've never worn it. I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm not against makeup and I don't think you are a bad person for wearing it... I just don't feel that I need it and I certainly don't want it. Not because I walk around thinking I'm oh so hot that I don't need it. I just don't want to deal with it. I want to be able to be me just as I am and not have to worry that I don't look my best because I didn't have time to put on the makeup.

I like knowing that I can get showered, shave my legs and be ready to go out the door in 20 minutes.

I actually had someone apologize to me once when we met up because she "looks a mess because she didn't have time to put on makeup that morning." Really? Apologizing for not having makeup on? Because I thought she was beautiful without it.

Skin deep beauty is very shallow and will only take you so far. I wish that instead of the world's message that women need to DO more that it would teach them to BE more. Be more from the inside out. If we spent as much time caring for our hearts and who we are on the inside as we spend working on the outside this world would be a very beautiful place.

Some of the most beautiful women I've known were old and wrinkled with saggy boobs and horrible style... but they were radiant!

And that's what I have to say about that. And this morning just to show the world who's boss I washed my face with soap and skipped the moisturizer. HA!
I know... I'm real mature like that. :)

My hunky husband

I am so thankful that Mike will humor me and play model while I practice my photography skills. He could complain, say no, not cooperate... but he doesn't do any of those things. He will do anything I ask of him.

I'm a lucky girl!!!

And of course now you know where the kids get their blue blue eyes.

Blog award

I was recently given the beautiful blogger award by Alex from Journey to Beauty. I'm pretty sure she is a newer follower and because I have been sooo insanely busy lately I haven't had a lot of time to browse through her blog. But the description says... Journey to Beauty: what God says about what we see in the mirror. Sounds good doesn't it!! Hopefully I will find the time this weekend to go read a few of her posts.

I'm pretty sure I was also given awards by Linds from a Dollop of my Life and Sarah from Life is Change, Growth is Optional FOREVER ago. Both these lovely ladies write about their lives, their children, what God is teaching them in every day life. Linds has also just started her own blog design site. Check them out!

The rules that go with this award...
Thank and link to the person that gave you the award.
Pass this award on to 15 fantastic bloggers you’ve recently discovered.
Contact the Bloggers and let them know they’ve won. State 7 things about yourself for all to see.

7 things about me. Hmmmm....
1. I'm 30 and I don't mind.
2. Last night I went out with the girls and came home with a case of the giggles. I could not fall asleep. Everything was funny. It was fun. My abs got a workout.
3. I've worked at five different summer camps and miss being able to do that.
4. I have a huge to-do list that is calling me but I really just don't care.
5. Herr's plain potato chips are my favorite.
6. Fresh flowers in a vase on my table make me happy... even if I have to buy them for myself. :)
7. I am happy and content with my life.

I know... exciting right?! You all just got seven juicy bits of gossip about me. (Hear the sarcasm??)

I don't have 15 bloggers to pass this on to so I will just go ahead a name a few that come to mind that I enjoy reading daily...

My Perspective
Little Mrs. Married
Let Them Eat Lettuce
Third Time's a Charm
Jenna's Jargon
Age of Independence
5...6...7... Kate

And that's that. :)

(Ps... I don't care if you don't pass it on. I just like to let others know about some of my favorite bloggers from time to time.)

You may have noticed...

...that there have been some recent changes around here. :)

The obvious of course is my entire layout. Big thanks to Linds for helping me figure out all the html coding that I needed to work with. And if you are wondering where I got all the cute things that I used in my header and post dividers they came from this website.

You may have also noticed that my photos are now "stamped" with Wix-Pix Photography. That is now the name of my business that is not a business because I don't want to make it work and am still learning tons. Anyways... it's a little play on words and Mike gets the credit for helping me think of it. He said "How about Wick's Pics?" That would be my last name. (I know... hunt me down and stalk me for putting too much info on the blog. Whatever.) And when Mike said that the light bulb went off in my head to come up with the spelling. Wix-Pix. I like it. It's clever. It's fun. It's me.

Another new thing is that I now have a button for my blog. You can grab the code for it and display it in your sidebar if you just love my blog so much that you want others to know about it. :) Grab it here or on my sidebar...

Just copy the code below the picture and paste it in your sidebar.
(For simple instructions on making your own blog button go HERE.)

And don't forget about the Ask Anything box on my sidebar. Just type in your question (and if you want me to know that it was YOU who asked it put your name in there as well.) It will get sent to me and I will answer it in a post. I would love to have some questions from some of my readers! Gives me some fresh writing materials. :)

I've got a lot of posts half way written just waiting to be finished... more of my favorite things, photography tips to help beginners take good pictures with the camera they have, my favorite and least favorite things about blogger and blogging (thanks to Melissa for asking that question!), who inspires me and lots more pictures and funny stories of the kids. Life is starting to slow down a bit and hopefully I will have plenty of time to get caught up on everything.

Have a great weekend!! Do something fun and do something for yourself. :)

After the post about Jason the other day with embarrassing photos I figured I better show you some really cute pictures of him. The other day he woke up a little early from his nap and Liza was still sleeping so I took him outback for a little bit of play and pictures. He's pretty much adorable!

Have I ever mentioned that I am in love with Jason's face? Especially the lower half. I love his mouth and cheeks and how expressive they are.

Can I please have those LASHES!!!?

I asked him for a smile and got this...

No idea where he learned that that is a smile. We are going to have to work on that... maybe... because ya know, that smile of his is pretty stinkin cute! And awesome!

Here is his smooshie face...

And another silly face...

Jason is so much fun. I love him to pieces! And he loves me back. He loves hugs and he is such a good hugger. Really... if you are ever having a bad day you should just come hang out with Jason and let him hug you and make you smile.

Oh! And did you know... He's two! And he will let you know. :)

The other day Mike and I got to go on a date (thanks to my sister-in-law for watching the kids!!) We headed to McConnell's Mill since it was a gorgeous day and Mike was a good sport and became my model for the day. I can't help it... sometimes I just have to practice with my camera and I've been learning so much that I couldn't leave it at home this time! But I got some great pics of Mike and then I coached him a little bit in using manual and he got some of me.

Those pics are coming later. I'm still working on editing. I have sooo many pics to catch up on.

But for now I will leave you with these... a nice guy that walked by asked if we would like him to take one of us together. ABSOLUTELY! If you see people taking pics you should always offer to get one with all of them in. It's a nice thing to do. :)

So thanks to the stranger for these photos... that I had to crop and edit and all that... but still! Even if they were horrible I would still think it was super nice of him and it is super nice to have a pic of Mike and I together.

Pretty Baby.

I've taken pictures of a baby Anna a few times now and this time was by far the hardest. Why? Because the girl is on the move! She no longer sits still. That doesn't work so well when I just have a blanket thrown over a chair for a backdrop. We'll have to get outside next time where she has room to roam.

So cute!

I pass!

Over the past few months I've been taking online photography classes from Big Picture Scrapbooking. The first class was really basic. Get Great Photos With Any Camera. Teaches a lot about composition and light and would be helpful to someone just starting out. (This class is currently open for registration.)

The second class was called Get Out of Auto in which it helped you move into some other settings on your camera and start to take a little bit of control instead of letting your camera figure everything out. This class was also just an overview of some things I already knew. But the refresher was good and I did learn a few things.

The last class just finished up. It was called Moving in to Manual and was by far the class that I learned most from. I took a huge step and got brave and started using the full manual mode on my camera. For the past few weeks I have practiced and practiced and I am really loving the photos I am getting. It was absolutely worth the cost and I am sooo glad that I took this class.

At the end of each class we are to submit a photo for the teacher, Elisha Snow, to critique. This ALWAYS makes me nervous! I professional telling me what they think of my photo!? Yikes!!! So I always go through my recent photos and try to pick one that I think is fabulous. I want to hear "great photo!" That's my goal. But I am always certain there will be some critiques to come with it. So I sorted through and picked out a photo, submitted it and then held my breath.

The photo I chose is of Jason holding his Papa's hand as they watch the tractors at the strip mine. It was the first time I ever used my camera in full manual and I love the photo. It's super sweet.

And here is the critique I got!!!

This photo just melts my heart! I love everything about it. The lighting, composition and color. I think you used a perfect aperture, so that the hands in the background are just slightly out of focus, and the boy (and those eyes!) are really what we're focusing on! I love the almost full-frontal light and I love the hood over his head. The overall color of the photo looks very warm and inviting as well and the skin tones look great. Absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing!

I passed! She liked it! And there was no notes on what to fix. In the other classes I always got a few things that should be touched up in post processing or whatever... but this one I did right! We don't get a grade or anything for these classes so this is kind of my report card and it's nice to know I passed. :)

Wish List

Not too long ago I added a little box on my sidebar where you can ask me anything. Check it out and ask a question and I will answer it on my blog. If you want me to know who asked the question please put your name in it somewhere... otherwise it will be anonymous.

Melissa from Little Mrs. Married (as well as Try, Try Again) asked:
What are your top 5 wish list items? Assuming you'd saved up for them. :)

You know... I'm not sure that I have five things on my current wish list. But I am sure that if I think hard enough I can come up with five things. Hmm... maybe it will actually be easier than I thought.

1. A house.
We've been renting for 7 years now. I don't really mind. We live in a good sized house in a good location. But I'm ready to have my own house so I can decorate it and hopefully no longer have these dark, paneled walls.

2. A vacation.
I would LOVE to go to Arizona. We were on our way there one time. We drove and drove and drove for HOURS and stopped in New Mexico about six hours from the Grand Canyon. We woke up in the morning to find that the road we needed to take in to Arizona was closed because they got a foot of snow over night. :( We ended up changing plans and went to Texas instead. But I would love to save up the money, find someone to watch the kids for a week and Mike and I go to Arizona.

3. Photoshop.
I want the full program but don't know if I will be getting it any time soon. I have a friend who's husband does computer stuff looking around for a good deal for me... but it's an editing program that costs $1000. Ugh. But I WANT it! I'm ready for it. I want to learn to edit like the pros. :)

4. One of everything from the online store at Messenger International (John and Lisa Bevere's ministry.)
I've read a few of their books and did one of their small group studies. Everything has had a huge impact on my life. I want one of everything... so I can read and listen and pass it around... so that me and all my friends and family can grow and grow and grow!

5. One full body massage every month. :)
Enough said! I'm getting one next Wednesday!! But don't have the money to get one the month after that. I really do need to find a way to make $65 a month to cover the cost so I can make this a reality haha.

Thanks for the question Melissa!

C25K update.

I ALMOST wrote a post last week about how I was kind of sort of really starting to like running. Or maybe I did mention that. I can't remember. My days and thoughts seem to all be running together lately. A sure sign that I am too busy and it is time to cut some things out... but that's another post.

Right... this post is about c25k. If you are new to my blog (because I DO have a few new followers... happy face) c25k is a running program to get you from the couch to running a 5k... or three miles... or thirty minutes. Today started week four.

I thought I was going to DIE this morning on the treadmill.

First, my morning was crazy because we were picking up a friend and her two kids after the gym to head to a play date so I had to remember to pack all kinds of things. In trying to remember everything I needed to pack I FORGOT to eat more than a plum for breakfast. I was also dehydrated to start with. Not so fun. Thankfully I didn't puke. And due to being dehydrated I didn't feel like I had to pee the entire time. Bonus.

This mornings workout was by far the hardest...

Run 3 minutes.
Walk 90 seconds.
Run 5 minutes.
Walk 3 minutes.

Those last five minutes felt like a lifetime.

I REALLY don't want to do it again on Wednesday. Instead I want to stomp my feet, throw a little tantrum and say I QUIT!

But I won't. What's the fun in it if I give up as soon as it starts to actually feel like a little bit of a challenge. I'll just keep doing what I do... telling myself "You can do this Laura! You can DO THIS! That's right! One foot in front of the other! NO you will NOT slow down. Finish it out! You CAN do this!"

And I did. I finished it. On Wednesday I will do it again. And it is so nice to have a friend there doing it as well so we can high five, fist pump, celebrate when we finish another run.

I heart faces... angles

I heart faces is focusing on angles this week.

The Jesus Painter

Mike Lewis... also known as The Jesus Painter was at my church this morning. It was awesome. I get giddy when I see people using their gifts and talents for God. Makes me happy. It's what I desire to do with my life. (Not paint... but use my gifts and talents to bring glory to God.)

Anyways... if you have a few minutes you should watch the video below. It's pretty cool.

Not too long ago my friend Rainey asked if I would be interested in taking some photos of her. Of course I would be interested!! And of course she knew that. :) She felt the need to warn me though. "I'm not photogenic AT ALL. I've never seen a picture that I think I look good in." I jokingly replied, "That's because you have never had a good photographer!"

My goal became to prove her wrong. :) And I believe I definitely accomplished that goal!! I can not believe that she didn't think she was photogenic! She is fabulously gorgeous! And her hair!!! Oh my! If I could ever get my hair to be as awesome as hers I would pay big bucks for a photoshoot. I have lame hair. Oh well. At least I can take good photos of people that do have good hair.

Anyways... let's get on with the photos! I loooove how they turned out!

These last two are my favorites. I love the light and the look!

I had sooo much fun on this photoshoot. It was the first time that I actually took every picture in full manual. Go me! (Full manual for those of you who don't know means that I set everything like shutter speed, aperture, ISO... the technical stuff instead of letting the camera do it.) For me that is a giant step and I think I did pretty well in manual for the first real time. Of course it helped that Rainey wasn't a three year old, super energetic kid! How great to have someone who knows how to stand still and be patient and will give me time to work things out to practice with!

By the way... Rainey is single and gorgeous and fabulous and fun and I am screening applications for anyone who would like a date. :)

I finally know what I want to do with my life.

I always wonder why we are supposed to decide at 18 years old what we want to do with our lives and then spend a fortune going to college to get some training to do that thing. How many people at 18 know themselves well enough to truly know how they want to spend the rest of their lives??? Most of you know that I went to school for elementary and special education. I have my degrees. No certification. I looooove children. I hate teaching in the schools. I've never used my degrees.

It doesn't really bother me. I enjoyed college. I met Mike at college. I have a lot of great memories from the college years. I just wish I would have actually got a degree in something I might use.

In the past couple of years I have come to know myself much better than I did at 18 years old. I've grown and changed so much. And sometimes I just surprise myself with what I discover in my own heart.

You see... I have ALWAYS without a doubt been certain that I would always work with children. I have never been an adult person. You put me in a room where there are adults and kids and you will find me hanging out with the kids. It's where I'm comfortable. It makes me happy. I've always said I will have a ton of kids in my home. That doesn't mean I will personally grow and birth them all... it means that I might adopt, or foster parent. And I certainly want to be that home in the neighborhood that all the kids want to come hang out at. A safe place... especially for the ones who's parents can't be home when school lets out. I think everyone deserves a good chance at life and I want to help kids get that.

Lately though, my hearts desires and dreams have been changing. I still loooove kids and they will always have a large place in my heart and my life. BUT... somewhere along the way my heart has grown this space for women.

I think it all started when I got pregnant for the first time and became a mother. I realized how absolutely tough it can be to be a woman. And sooo many of us have deep hurts and they affect our lives. I've realized that so many women feel alone and misunderstood. So many women feel that what they do doesn't matter. They feel insignificant.

I want to help women find healing for their hearts. I want to help them work through their deepest hurts and find their strength again. To realize the importance of their lives. To understand that they truly do matter and are needed. I want to help them grow in God's love and be fully the woman God intended for them to be. I love to help women connect with other women. I always share my friends. I love to bring groups together and see what happens. It's exciting!

Anyways... all that to say this...

I think that I would like to go back to school some day. You know, when my kids are a little bit older. And I think that I would like to go for some form of counseling. And photography.

Five Question Friday

Mama M. over at My Little Life hosts Five Question Friday every Friday. Check it out and join in. :)

My Little Life

1. Have you ever had a celebrity sighting?
Kind of. You may not think so but I did. Growing up we ALWAYS watched this Christian show called Gospel Bill and it took place at Dry Gulch... which has actually been made in to a camp. I should work there. Anyways... one of the main characters was Gospel Bill who I later found out pastors a church in Oklahoma. Well I was on a trip to Oklahoma with the in-laws to visit some more in-laws and we actually went to "Gospel Bill's" church. All through the sermon I was kind of star struck and couldn't help thinking "Oh my gosh! I can't believe I am sitting here listening to Gospel Bill!!" haha. And then we stopped by Dry Gulch but it was closed on Sundays. Boo. :( So yeah, that's my celebrity sighting. Does anyone even know of the show I am talking about???

2. What temperature do you keep your house?
In the winter... and it's been a cold one!... between 62 and 67. We are cheap. Put on some extra clothes and grab a blanket. In the summer since we don't have air conditioning it tends to be whatever temperature it is outside... or more on somedays. Those 90 degree days are NOT fun!

3. Do you notice dust at other people's homes?
I don't think so. Well yeah, if the light is hitting it just right but it doesn't bother me because there is plenty of dust to be noticed in my home.

4. What's the worst job you ever had?
I'm going to have to go with being a janitor in the college dorms. Ugh. Yuck! Have you ever seen a community guys bathroom on the weekends. Nasty!!!

5. What is your most sentimental possession?
I'm going to have to go with all the rings Mike has given me. My engagement and wedding rings. My pink sapphire. My newest... the pearl ring. There is something sweet and special behind every one and if anything ever happened to any of them I would be completely devastated.

It's my most favorite time of the year...

The time to open up the windows, let the fresh air in and let all the neighbors hear all the craziness that goes on in this house.

I hope they enjoyed Jason's tantrum this morning.

...in about fifteen years you find me dead in a ditch along a deserted dirt road it just might have something to do with the fact that Jason decided to check out some of Mom's old blog posts and discovered this one.

You see... Jason loooooves his big sister. He is by far her biggest fan. I sometimes think he wants to BE Liza. He does everything she does. Like a little shaddow always following her around.

And that is why you will often see things like this...

Yep. That's Jason. My handome little two year old BOY.

Enjoying a stroll around the house in Liza's Carebear nightgown and black boots.

He picked out this outfit himself. He INSISTED on wearing it. I say choose your battles and this didn't need to be a battle. So Liza's Carebear nightgown it was.

Oh look! A shoe change! That's another thing. He looooves Liza's shoes. It might have something to do with the fact that he only has one pair of shoes and Liza has a gazillion. And maybe it's because Liza's shoes are easier to put on. When we are home you will almost always find him wearing Liza's pretty shoes.

It's ok though. I like that he loves his big sister so much.

But still... remember this post if I'm ever found to be suspiciously dead. And for my sake... maybe it would be best if you never mentioned to Jason that I used to post things like this about him!!
