Photography... Composition Part 2

Try different angles.

I know these tips are going to seem all "well duh!" but a lot of people will always take their pictures straight on. Try something new this week.

Take pictures
from above your subject
or below
walk all the way around it and take a bunch of pictures along the way.

See what you like.

And don't be afraid to tilt your camera. Just another way to get a different angle.

Practice it!

Not sure where to start?
How many of you have taken your kids (or someone's) to the park and taken pictures on the swings? How many of those pictures look the same? Try standing behind the swing and taking a picture. See what you get. You may like it, you may not. But with digital it doesn't hurt to try. :)

Or maybe you always take pictures of your kids or pet while you are standing above them. Try getting down on their level. I've learned that sometimes to get the picture you have to get dirty. It's not uncommon at all to see me laying on the ground to get the shot I want.
