Last week when it was 95 degrees a friend of mine invited the kids and I over to swim in her pool. She's a great and thoughtful friend like that!
The kids were really excited to go and swim with "Daniel." It's actually DANIELLE but the kids seem to have a problem with that. It's cute.
We packed up all our swim stuff and headed to Danielle's. The water was the perfect temperature and Danielle doesn't have kids so she was able to always be playing with one of mine. It was wonderful.
Liza has no fear at all. She just grabbed her tube and took off.
Jason was a different story.
He didn't quite like it at first and insisted on hanging on to me. If I tried to loosen him even a bit he would start whine and say "no him"... he had difficulty with the "sw" in swim. It was cute though and by the end of our time there he was swimming on his own, hanging on to his tube just like Liza. But her really liked the float where he could just sit and splash.
We had packed a picnic and spent a few hours with Danielle.
It was a lovely way to spend a hot day and it was definitely much better to be in a large pool... my other option was sitting in the little plastic pool in my backyard with the kids. Not as cool. But I've been known to do it.
