We went to Living Treasures and did end up getting caught in a rain storm for a little while but we were able to find a roof to sit under until it passed. It ended up being a great time and we arrived moments after a baby alpaca was born and got to watch it take its first wobbly steps!
After Living Treasures we stopped by a new pick-your-own blueberry farm in the area. It was absolutely fantastic and I will share more about that in another post.
We went to Fishbone in the evening. Fishbone is a ministry just a few blocks from our home that we love taking the neighborhood kids to. It's been a lot of fun becoming a part of that! We've met a ton of great people and the kids just love it! Every neighborhood should have a ministry like Fishbone!
To end out the night we decided to take the kids to the drive-in since this is the final season for the one in town. It ended up being sold out for the movie we wanted to see that night so we left and found some fireworks instead.
On Friday we woke up and went for a bike ride with the kids, hung out at the house for the afternoon and then went back to the drive-in where we got to watch How To Train Your Dragon 2. Great movie and a great day! The kids loved the drive-in and I enjoyed having all four of us snuggled up in the back of the van to watch the movie.
Saturday was date day for me and Mike. His mom and dad watched the kids and we hit the local rails to trails for a bike ride. I love that we all have bikes now and bike rides are possible!!
Sunday was a day for relaxing. We hung out with some neighbors, worked on bikes and all went to bed early!
It was a super fun and full weekend and we are looking forward to a slow paced week... if that's even possible this summer!!
(That's ten pounds of blueberries!!!)
(Waiting for fireworks.)
(Accidental photo stitching when I bumped the dial. I like it!)
(Waiting for the movie to start.)
