Louisiana Vacation - New Orleans (part 1)

On Friday, me and Melissa woke up, got ready and headed out for a day in New Orleans. I just need to say that while I would never want to live in a city... I am in love with cities! I love the people, the food, the shops, the street performers. I could have gone back to New Orleans every day that I was there. I love the atmosphere! And I could people watch all day!

Our day was spent wandering around the French Quarter and Jackson Square, popping into shops and stopping to listen to the street performers. I loved the buildings and the railings on all the balconies. I loved how colorful it all was and the doorways and the tall shutters. And the food!! But I have enough to say about the food on my trip to save it for it's own post.

We stopped to check out St. Louis Cathedral. It is a stunning building! Melissa's sister got married there. I can't even imagine!

I remember telling Melissa at one point that I was surprised to see palm trees. For me, palm trees are a Florida thing and I just wasn't expecting them.

And that's enough pictures for one post. I'll share about the street performers next. I think that was my favorite part of the trip. Maybe... hard to say. I enjoyed it all! :)
