At the end of the school year, the kids came home with a paper that said they could bowl one free game per day in the summer at our local bowling alley.
It's a three minute drive from our house so you can believe that we were there several times a week. Sometimes we went alone. Sometimes we met friends there. I always sat and crocheted... because I would have had to pay to bowl.
At first I thought it was too good to be true... but we checked it out and found that there were no strings attached. Any school-aged kid could get shoes and one game free... every. day. they were open.
Today was supposed to be the last day but the extended it until August 28th since school is starting so late for us this year.
What a great program to give kids something to do in the summer and put in them a love for bowling!!!... which is something they can continue to do all of their lives.
Family Bowlaway rocks our socks off!!
