The Herr's Factory Tour was really neat. The amount of chips made in a day is absolutely insane! And fresh, hot potato chips... YUM! If you are ever where the Herr's Factory is, I definitely recommend stopping to check it out. It's free!
On the way home we stopped in Lancaster to tour the home of our 15th president, James Buchanan. We enjoyed learning some personal history about him and his home, and Liza and Jason thought all the old furniture was pretty neat. It was a good history lesson for all of us.
Our last stop was Hershey, PA to do the chocolate tour. The kids were slightly disappointed that it wasn't the real chocolate factory where they really make it all. I guess touring Herr's first set the bar high. But it was still a fun time and they loved seeing all the different things in the gift shop. They were amazed at the size of some of the things!
We had so much fun in Maryland and on the drive there and back! I can't wait to travel with Liza and Jason again! They're pretty awesome. :)
(That's the desk Buchanan used during his presidency.)
