I took them on the two mile loop that took us down one side of the creek and back on the other, passing two waterfalls along the way. It was 55 degrees, and we loved every minute of being outside.
The trail was a little rough because it was covered in ice several places along the way. We had to take our time and watch our step, and I had to carry Liza and Jason across water on my back a time or two because their legs just weren't long enough to do it on their own. It was a really fun day, and even though we were tired by the end, we were glad that we did the hike.
The waterfalls were still mostly frozen, so we will have to go back when it truly is spring and do the hike all over again.
In the meantime we are going to enjoy finally having some real winter weather here in PA. Snow on the ground, freezing cold temps, blankets and snuggles on the couch with the fire going... spring can wait. We like winter too! :)
Climbing to get to the top of a waterfall.
